Families want their estate to pass to their chosen heirs in a way that they want… at the time that they want. They want to minimize tax liability… minimize the burden of probate… and minimize possible tensions between heirs. Some heirs have special needs. Some families have legacy and charity interests to fulfill. An estate expert on the team does estate assessments and action plans as family needs flex… or estate laws change. They work with the Family Officer to keep all the estate liability and transfer issues in order so that the family’s interests have the best chance of being fulfilled.
